A. Yes. If you have provide a valid email address when making an online contribution of $2.00 or more, you will receive a tax deductible receipt via email shortly after you complete your contribution.
Q. Is your online fundraising system secure?
A. Yes - our website is hosted by Artez, a North American technology company specialising in the development of online fundraising websites for non-profit and community organisations. Artez have successfully developed and utilised this technology for over 200 organisations around the world. Every payment made on our online fundraising system is fully secured, using high-level encryption technology - the same standard most Australian banks use for their internet banking. The site uses 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) between your browser and our website, with 1024 bit java encryption between our website and the Australian Banking Network. You have more chance of having your credit card details misused when paying for something in person, than through our online fundraising website.
Q. Does the site accept overseas contributions?
A. Yes - with online fundraising, there are no geographic limitations. You can solicit contributions from supporters interstate and overseas.
Q. Is there a minimum amount I can contribute?
A. No, there is no minimum amount for online fundraising, however please note that you will only receive a tax receipt for contributions of $2.00 or more.
Q. How do I know if my contribution was successful?
A. If you have provided a valid email address when making an online contribution, you will receive a payment receipt via email shortly after you complete your contribution. You will also be able to see your contribution listed on the event page of the club you are supporting.
Q. What types of payment do you accept?
A. Our online fundraising system accepts Visa and Mastercard cards.
Q. Can I contribute anonymously?
A. Yes, when making an online contribution uncheck the option for "I give permission for my name to be displayed on this clubs Call To Arms Page which can be viewed by the public'. The amount you contribute will still show up on the web page of the person you are supporting, but as ‘Anonymous'. You can also make a general contribution to Call To Arms - click on the ‘Give Now' button on the online fundraising home page.
Q. What if I have entered the incorrect amount for my contribution?
A. All contributions are in Australian Dollars, if you accidentally contribute an incorrect amount via credit card please contact 1300 65 65 85.
Q. How can I change my personal details?
A. To change your personal details, log into your online fundraising page and click on the "Match/Game Details & Profile" tab. You will be able to change your contact details including:
Q. What is my personal website address?
A. Every club that registers to fundraise online will receive a unique website address (URL) for their event. Please check your registration confirmation email for your URL or search for yourself with the "Search" button on the home page to find your URL.
Q. How do I upload a photo or Video?
A. To upload a photo or video, log onto the site using the username and password you set and click on the "Club fundraising" tab. On the left hand side you will see menu options - click on ‘Customise club page'. You will then be able to select a photo from the Call To Arms content library we have set up, or upload your own photos (max 200k and jpeg/gif format only). Videos must first be uploaded onto youtube to be used on the website.
Q. How do I email people to ask for contributions?
A. To send an email asking for contribution, log onto the site using your username and the password you set and click on "Club fundrasing" . On the left hand side you will see menu options - click on ‘Get Sponsors' and follow the directions.
Q. Can I enter in CASH and CHEQUE contributions to my online fundraising total, without paying them online?
A. Yes - after logging on using your username and password click on the "Club fundrasing" tab. On the left hand menu click on "Enter Cash Donations", so you can enter cash and cheque contributions from your event. These contributions will be added to your fundraising total on your personal event page, to help you reach your fundraising goal sooner.
Q. Can I pay CASH contributions online via credit card?
A. Yes - after entering a cash donation (see above FAQ) you can select "pay cash contribution with my own credit card". Make sure you have entered the donors correct email address if they would like to recieve a Tax deductible receipt.
Q. Can I pay CHEQUE contributions online via credit card?
A. No - all cheques must be made payable to Cancer Council and sent to us with other post event paperwork to be deposited.
Q. What do I do if I have forgotten my username/password?
A. If you have forgotten your username/password, click on the link below the ‘Log In' section of the home page labelled ‘Forgot your username and password?'. You will be directed to another page to enter your email address and receive an email to reset your password. You can also change your password at any time - log into your account using your username/password and then click on the ‘"Match/Games Details & Profile" tab and then ‘Change password'.
Q. What do I do if I have a technical support question?
A. You can contact us with your question. If we can answer the question easily by email we will do so, otherwise someone from the Call To Arms team will contact you to discuss your enquiry.
Q. My club page preview is not working - what can I do?
A. When setting up your club page, please ensure you have pop-up windows enabled in your Internet browser for our online fundraising website. Otherwise the preview of your club page will be blocked. In Internet Explorer, this option can be found under the menu item. If you have any questions, please contact us or phone the Call To Arms team on 1300 65 65 85.
