In 2011, it's GAME ON to fight cancer. Here's how your money helps in the fight.
$10 can help us give patients with advanced cancer important information and strategies to help them adjust to the uncertainty of advanced cancer.
$50 can pay for a registered cancer nurse to give information and support to men facing cancer, and their family and friends, via the Cancer Council Helpline (13 11 20).
$150 can allow a research team to purchase a tissue sample for use in investigating the causes of cancer, as well as potential treatment options.
$250 can provide a financial assistance grant to help people facing cancer cover costs like phone bills, gas accounts and wigs while they adjust to their changed circumstances.
$500 can pay to train a volunteer for our Cancer Connect telephone peer support service. Volunteers can be put in touch with men who have had a similar cancer experience to provide one-to-one emotional and practical support.
