Why Support Us

One in three cancers are preventable so raising awareness matters. By registering your club to wear yellow armbands in a Call To Arms match, you'll help increase understanding and raise funds to help fight cancer in men.

Parramatta Eels front-rower Tim Mannah is one bloke who knows the importance of staying on top of health issues.  Last year Tim's brother Jon, who props for the Cronulla Sharks, was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. The cancer was discovered when Jon visited the doctor about a footy injury - he wasn't even feeling ill.

Jon's treatment will benefit because the Lymphoma has been caught early, but if it wasn't for the footy injury, it probably wouldn't have been discovered until it was too late. Tim wants to pass on his brother's lucky story and help encourage blokes to be proactive about their health, even if they feel fine.

"Cancer isn't a myth. Especially now I realise how common it is, and how important it is to go to the doctor, and it can actually save your life if you do."

"People should get involved in Call To Arms because it saves lives. The more people that get involved, the more awareness will be raised and the more lives will be saved. It's a big deal, people should jump on board."

Research gives us hope, and earlier diagnosis and new treatments means there are opportunities now than ever before. Call To Arms encourages all men to talk to their GP about cancer risk factors and prevention.

That's why we're behind Call To Arms. It's a positive way to raise awareness and show solidarity for men with cancer".
